ST. JOHN'S, N.L. – Tyler Toffoli had a familiar linemate when Canada's top junior players took to the ice
for their first practice at their summer camp on Wednesday night – Boston Bruins star draft pick Tyler
Seguin.
The two Tylers had played together on national teams at both the under-17 and under-18 levels and Toffoli
hopes they can do it again at the IIHF World Junior Championship.

''Me and Tyler had good chemistry together in the past, we work well together,'' said Toffoli, a
high-scoring winger for the Ottawa 67s. ''I love playing with him.
''He has so much skill, so much vision. He really is the whole package. He's a player you definitely want
on your team and on your line. Every time we're on the ice, he has a chance to score and you have a chance to
help out.''
There's a good chance that Seguin, drafted second overall by Boston in June, will be in the NHL when the
World Juniors begin Dec. 26 in Buffalo, N.Y., but the Plymouth Whalers centre is keeping the door open with
the Canadian junior team.
The left-winger on their line was Joey Hishon of Owen Sound, who they had not played with before.
Seguin was a late cut from the team that won silver at the 2010 world juniors in Saskatoon.
The six-foot 181-pound Toffoli was drafted in the second round by the Los Angeles Kings and is hoping to
crack the Canadian squad.
''I'll try to put a good impression on the people making the picks,'' the Toronto native said. ''But I
know you have to do well in the season and that this is just the first step to hopefully playing at the world
juniors.''
Other lines of note had returning centre Brayden Schenn with Brandon Wheat Kings teammate Scott Glennie
and Kyle Clifford of the Barrie Colts; and Sean Couturier of the Drummondville Voltigeurs was with Montreal
Canadiens draft pick Louis Leblanc, formerly of Harvard, and Quinton Howden of the Moose Jaw Warriors.
The 44 players were split into two teams that each skated for about 30 minutes. They will be back on the
ice for special teams practice on Thursday and play intra-squad games Friday and Saturday night.
