Thirty-one (31) of the 36 players have been a part of Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence:
Twenty-five  (25) of the 36 players have played in Canada’s National Under-18 Program:
- Eighteen (18) for Canada’s National Summer Under-18 Team
- Ten (10) for Canada at the IIHF World Under-18 Championship
- Six (6) players have played for both the summer team and for Canada at a world championship (Ellis, Teubert, Eakin, Hodgson, McFarland, Schenn)
Twenty-four (24) of the 35 players have been involved in Canada's Regional Under-17 Program;
Five (5) players – Bourque, Deslauriers, Hackett, Kozun, Wiercioch - invited to the selection camp will be looking for their first-ever Program of Excellence experience on a regional or national team
Nine  (9) players – Adam, Bourque, Hackett, Henrique, Deslauriers, Jones, Kozun, Roy, Wiercioch - have not played for Canada at an international competition

NHL Entry Draft information:
Thirty-one (31) of the 35 players invited to camp have been drafted in either the 2008 or 2009 NHL Entry Draft;
Fourteen (14) of the 31 NHL drafted players were first-round NHL draft picks, six (6) players were second-round NHL draft picks, and six more were selected in the third round;
Four (4) undrafted players will be at Canada’s selection camp, who are all eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft;
One (1) player, Martin Jones, was not drafted, but signed with Los Angeles as a free agent in the summer of 2008;
Los Angeles has the most prospects at this year’s camp, with five players. Seventeen (17) NHL teams have players at the selection camp
